Scorpio
Scorpio
“Of all the hunters that Artemis favored, Orion was by far the most skilled at the sport, but he was too proud and never satisfied with his spoils. He became convinced he was the best hunter that ever walked the earth, and to prove it he would hunt down every single creature in the wild. Artemis scoffed at this bold declaration and turned her back on him, until soon she began noticing less and less animals roaming the forests, the hills, the mountains. To her surprise, Orion was doing exactly what he had claimed and was wiping out entire species left and right. Knowing this kind of massacre needed to end, she called on Mother Earth, who summoned from deep within her cavernous womb the giant Scorpius. It was the one creature Orion couldn’t defeat, with its impenetrable armor and a sting that had been dipped in the River Styx. Though he was no match for the scorpion, Orion put up a good fight and it moved the gods to immortalize them both in the heavens.”
