Aquarius

$95.00

Aquarians are the vessels of the cosmos, a conduit between the heavens and the earth. Unlike Capricorn’s strict awareness of boundaries, Saturn’s rule over Aquarius urges them to look beyond boundaries for innovation and progress. Bearing the nurturing waters of life, they are deeply connected to social connections and enriching their community, bringing hope and vision to those around them. Being a fixed air sign, they are transitional and leave space for change and adaptation, while at the same time holding fast to their ideals and stubbornly working towards their goals.

In Greek mythology, the constellation of the Water Bearer stems from the story of Deucalion and Pyrrha:

“Deucalion, son of Prometheus, was the last king of the Bronze Race of humanity, ruling with his queen Pyrrha, daughter of Pandora. War, indulgence and impiety had corrupted this race. So disgusted with them, Zeus summoned a Great Flood to cleanse the earth so that humanity could start anew. Deucalion and Pyrrha were warned of this impending apocalypse by Prometheus, allowing them to prepare. They sailed the tides in a chest for nine days before touching land again. They consulted the Delphic oracle asking how they might repopulate the now desolate earth and were told to cast the bones of their mother over their shoulders. They mulled on the riddle and realized the bones were actually the stones of Mother Earth. Casting these, Deucalion produced a tribe of men and Pyrrha women.”
