Working with Philadelphia-based mural artists Amber Art and Design, the City of Providence’s Arts, Culture & Tourism department invited six local artists to embark on a week-long workshop mural project. Amber Art and Design shared a technique called “parachute cloth” with the artists, and facilitated the installation of six individual mural pieces at the Davey Lopes Recreation Complex, a vital center for youth and community in the south side of Providence.
